FC Halifax Town will return to the Shay for the opening league home match of the new season tomorrow with the visit of Boreham Wood, 3pm kick-off. It will be John McGrath's first competitive game on home soil following last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Forest Green Rovers. The Shaymen will be looking for a bumper crowd to start McGrath's campaign as new boss and have dropped admission prices for the visit of Luke Garrard's side. Town have made a number of signings this summer with True Grant, Raheem Conte, Mackenzie Maltby, Will Flint, Conor Carty, Zak Gilsenan, Connor Douglas, Amari Morgan-Smith, Ben Tollitt, Arian Allen and Tayt Trusty all joining the Club and will be looking to make their competitive start at the Shay. It was two of those signings that scored in last weekend's defeat with Will Flint opening the scoring and a late freekick from Zak Gilsenan cutting the deficit but Forest Green held on for three points. A Matt Rush hattrick wasn't enough for Boreham Wood to beat Tamworth on the opening day of the season as they drew 3-3 with a Ben Milnes penalty 12 minutes into second half injury time giving the Lambs a share of the points. It's the first of three games at the Shay with Derby County at home in the National League Cup on Tuesday night, 7pm kick-off and Tamworth at home on Saturday 22nd August, 12.30pm kick-off. Admission Prices: All Adults £15, 12-17 year olds £5, U12s £1 Season Ticket Collection: Season tickets will be available to collect from The Shay reception today from 2pm-6pm.
