True Grant has recorded three consecutive clean sheets for FC Halifax Town, providing a solid foundation as the team prepares to host Sutton United this Saturday. The goalkeeper is settling into his role at The Shay, with the entire defensive unit praised for its recent performances.
FC Halifax Town sit ninth in the National League on 12 points after eight games, just two places behind their upcoming opponents. The team's recent form shows four wins from their last five matches, including a 1-0 away victory over Wealdstone last Tuesday where the defence was described as magnificent. Will Flint repelled numerous attacks in that match without putting a foot wrong, while Shaun Hobson was also outstanding on the night.
With the backline exuding authority and solidity, the same defensive structure is anticipated for the weekend. Max Bardell is currently operating at right-back but may be considered for a centre-back role later in the campaign. The team's full fixtures and current standings are available for supporters to follow the season's progress.
The match against Sutton United, who are seventh, kicks off at The Shay on Saturday afternoon. A win could see Halifax Town close the gap on the playoff positions as they look to extend their three-game winning run.
